I have been Director of the Experimental Toxicology Division of the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory of the US EPA for nearly 17 years, although during this time
I also spent a year heading the Human Studies Divisions and another as the Associate Director for Health. My division focuses on pharmacokinetics, cardiopulmonary toxicology, and immunotoxicology. My
personal work has focused on mechanisms of toxicity, developmental effects, endocrine disruption, pharmacokinetics, and persistent bioaccumulative toxiciants. I have been Chair of the Toxicology
Section of ASPET and President of the SOT, among many other professional honors and responsibilities.
